Upgrades are per partner
Value compounds on the mon you upgrade. Switching every run resets that investment.
Team advice
Poke Survivor best pokemon searches want a tier list. jpter78 did not publish one. Honest advice is about coverage, upgrades, and the partner you will actually fund with coins, not a scraped S-rank chart.

Cover several types because weather and hordes shift.
A pick with Ember that can become Flamethrower outscales a stuck basic.
Late-game power often comes from rift clears and move bonds, not the first starter alone.

No fake tiers
Factory sites rank every species with empty text. Until there is a stable competitive ladder beyond survival-time ranking, guidance here stays qualitative.
Use the official dex for types. Use this page for process: pick a starter you like, fund its upgrades, learn super-effective swaps, then hunt rifts.
Field notes
There is no author-published species ranking. Time-survived boards can be filtered by partner, which tells you what people used for long runs, not what is secretly broken. Treat those boards as a hint, then look at type coverage and whether you have already paid for that species in the upgrade shop.
A fire first partner is easy to read until rain shows up. A water shot becomes the right swap, not a reason to abandon the box. Move evolution is the real scaling: a maxed Ember line that becomes Flamethrower outgrows a neglected basic. Bonds from rift clears then let one slot carry more of that kit.
Shiny odds are collection odds. Official text does not promise extra damage for the palette. Gacha tickets are a long-term box expander, not a pay win-button. If you reroll the main every night, you reset the only permanent growth the game gives you.
Late power is legendary rifts plus the partner you funded. Early power is a type you understand and three decent cards. That is enough to refuse 966-row “tier lists” that were generated to farm search queries.
When a creator posts a new ranking video, check the patch date against official news. This hub will not freeze a meta table that the author never wrote. If you want raw types, open the official Pokédex instead of duplicating it here.
Deeper notes
Best-pokemon advice starts with the partner you will see for hours, because upgrades do not float between boxes.
Weather and move bonds change that math. Rain buffs water and hurts fire. Legendary clears can fuse several attacks into one slot.
Ignore lists that sell an APK or a crypto wallet in the same paragraph. This page is a process, not a frozen S-rank chart.
Source notes
Refuse numbered tier lists until there is a real competitive mode beyond time survived.
Say when a claim is process advice rather than an official ranking.
Point readers at starters and the official dex.
FAQ
No. Ranking on the official site is survival time, optionally filtered by Pokémon, not a published species meta table.
Official copy treats shinies as collection and cosmetics (wild 1/4096, gacha 1/100). Do not assume a hidden damage buff from the palette.
Return to the homepage embed or the starters guide and fund one partner through a few card drafts.
Read both. This page owns the best-pokemon query with process advice. The dedicated /tier-list/ URL covers meta language, Showdown-style names, and why no official S-rank exists.
Yes. Sun, rain, sand, snow, and fog buff and nerf types. A fire first partner is easy to read until rain shows up and a water swap becomes the right button.
Usually. A maxed Ember line that becomes Flamethrower outgrows a neglected basic. Bonds from rift clears then let one slot carry more of that kit.
They hint at what people used for long runs. They do not prove a secret damage table. Filter by species, then check whether you already funded that partner.
No. Upgrades do not float between boxes. A partner you will actually main beats a spreadsheet pick you abandon after one death.
Use the official Pokédex on pokesurvivor.com. This hub will not clone 966 empty leaves. Come back here for upgrade process, then play.
Official copy treats shinies as collection and cosmetics. Do not assume a hidden damage buff just because a palette is rare in the wild or gacha.
In the poke survivor best pokemon meta, Charmander, Squirtle, and Pikachu excel early. Upgrading basic shots into Flamethrower, Surf, or Thunder provides the massive screen coverage required to survive late hordes.
Raw damage alone never determines the poke survivor best pokemon. High base speed and Magnet upgrades allow you to gather XP gems safely, outscaling enemies before elite modifiers overwhelm your run.
